EDITOR: Last Sunday, my daughter and I attended a magnificent, free concert given by the American Philharmonic Orchestra of Sonoma County. We are blessed to have this local treasure here in the North Bay. Kudos to the Wells Fargo Center for housing the orchestra as "residents" in their central locations (parking!).

Conductor Gabriel Sakakeeny was masterful at giving short, joyful musical notes prior to each selection, not to mention being a vibrant conductor. The musicianship was excellent and energetic. My daughter, who has special needs and lives for music, couldn't have been happier to be there.

It's a rare treat to find affordable, top notch entertainment these days in such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Here's to celebrating and supporting live music and the people who generously promote it. Art is a necessity (www.apsonoma.org). Thank you.
